Bar Production Operator

Monday – Thursday: 6:00 am – 4:00 pm

$14.00/hr

POSITION SUMMARY

The Bar Production Operator produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Measure dimensions of finished work-pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work-pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Stop machines to remove finished work-pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work-piece placement, according to required machining sequences.
  • Taking accurate measurements; detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes.
  • Adjusting machine control, as needed to maintain quality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Forklift experience and license preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in a related field
  • Mechanically inclined
  • General math and measuring skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and think on their feet.
  • Experience editing programs
  • Experience using mechanical tools, mathematics, and ability to read a measuring tape
